If something happens, people know

An SOS that stays on your phone is worth nothing. In KURVO it reaches the people you chose, three ways, in this order:

  1. You press SOS or we detect a crash

    With your exact position, battery level and whether GPS was on. If you crash and do not respond, it goes out on its own.

  2. Your guardians get the alert and a text message

    Right away, with a link to your position. The text arrives even if they do not have the app open.

  3. If nobody responds in 30 seconds, we call them

    A voice call to every guardian. Pressing 1 confirms they are on their way, and you see it in the app.

Meanwhile, your group sees you on the map and knows where to go.

Quick questions

Is it free?

Yes. The essentials for riding in a group safely are free and will stay free. Paid extras will come later, and we will tell you first.

Does it drain the battery?

It uses GPS only during the ride and adjusts its rate on its own to use just what it needs. It also warns your group if you drop below 15%.

What if I lose signal?

The ride keeps recording on your phone and the map of your area is downloaded before you leave. Everything uploads as soon as signal returns, and alerts go out on their own.

Who sees my position?

Only your group during the ride and the guardians you choose. Nobody else, ever, and you can change it any time.

What is a guardian?

A trusted contact who watches you live on your rides and gets your SOS by notification, text and phone call. They have to accept the role.

Does it work with my watch?

Yes. On Wear OS 3 or later watches you get speed, km and time on your wrist, with SOS, Breakdown and Finish. On Apple Watch (watchOS 11) your ride shows in the Smart Stack with km and speed.
